Congratulations to our Spring 2026 EMR and EMT graduates! 🎓🚑
These graduates have spent countless hours learning, training, and preparing to serve their communities in emergency situations. Their hard work and dedication have led them to this achievement, and we are excited to see where their EMS journeys take them next.
Thank you to our keynote speaker, Cedric Turgeon with TGH Aeromed, for helping us celebrate our graduates and inspire the next generation of EMS professionals. We are proud to say that Cedric is an alumni of the Polk State College EMS Program.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Polk County Fire Rescue Honor Guard for presenting the colors and helping make this ceremony even more meaningful and memorable.
Congratulations again to the Spring 2026 graduates — we cannot wait to see what you accomplish next!

Spring 2026 TEAM Day 🚑
This past month our EMTs, EMRs, and Paramedics interns came together to work through realistic simulated emergency scenarios designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, and patient care under pressure. From medical emergencies to high-stress trauma calls, each scenario challenged our interns to think critically and work together like they would on a real call.
A huge thank you to our adjunct instructors who dedicated their time and experience to running these scenarios, providing feedback, and helping make this training possible. Days like today help build stronger providers and even stronger teams.

Today’s mass casualty incident drill brought together an incredible group of interdisciplinary teams, including PSC EMS, the LRH residency program, LRH physicians and nurses, PSC Radiography, PSC Respiratory Care, PSC Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and PSC Nursing.
We were reminded of just how critical teamwork is in healthcare. Every discipline plays a pivotal role in the survival and recovery of patients during an emergency — especially during a mass casualty incident.
