My job has me at a retreat today running around with the teenagers. Jesus be an energy drink! 😂😂😂😂

It’s Wednesday and we are on the roll!!! Here’s our work this week. It’s been a very productive week….

Tonight, I had the honor of delivering my first ever Commencement Address at Wilson Community College.

Thank you to President Dr. Jami Woods, Dr. Vernita Williams, and the entire WCC family for the invitation and opportunity.

My message to the Class of 2026 was simple: “You Are the Evidence.” Your resilience, sacrifice, and success are proof that dreams can become reality.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Keep making history.

The weekend owes me nothing! What a grand time in Dallas, Texas!

Pausing for the cause to celebrate the life of my father’s mom (my grandmother) she lived to see 94 years. What a beautiful celebration.

Yachts, calm vibes, and gratitude… my kind of happy place! I have prayed for mornings like this…..Started the day in the Word, now I’m by the water where peace meets purpose.

I ask that everyone keep my dad Charles (better known as “Donald Ray”) in your prayers. He was at my graduation ceremony celebrating with me when he received the call that his mother passed away at 94 years old.

It was the happiest I’ve ever seen my dad in my 27 years of living. He got off that shuttle grinning, and eyes blood shot red. In the midst of such a celebratory moment, he is now also grieving the loss of his mother.

Please pray for my dad’s strength, peace, and comfort during this difficult time.

God be with him and the family! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾‼️‼️94 years is a long great life!!! God is GOOD. That’s a blessing.

With sadness in our hearts, Salem Chapel Missionary Baptist Church announces the passing of our oldest mother, Mother Mary Verlena Braswell Parker, who departed this life on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family.

Mother Parker was a cherished member of our church family whose wisdom, faith, and loving spirit touched generations. Her presence will truly be missed, but her legacy of love and devotion will remain in our hearts forever.
