🚀 Big News for Our Community! 🚀

After months of hard work, deep reflection, and honest conversations with families, we are excited to share an important update about Lovira Academy’s journey.

We are officially shifting our opening to August 2028.
While we pushed hard to secure a facility in time for this year’s charter application window, the right building simply wasn’t available — and we refuse to rush something this important. Our students deserve a school that is safe, stable, and built with excellence from day one.

Instead of speeding forward, we are slowing down with purpose.
We’re taking this time to listen closely to our community, understand what families truly need, and design a school that delivers the highest‑quality education for the students we are called to serve.

💙 Lovira Academy remains committed to being a public charter school option for ALL North Carolina students.
We believe every child deserves access to a learning environment that fits them — hands‑on, student‑centered, and rooted in belonging. Our mission is to serve any and all families who are looking for a different way and a different option.

And here’s the exciting part:
We HAVE submitted our charter application, and we are ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. The next chapter begins now.

Thinking ahead to Winter 2027! ❄️💻

​While the ground is still being prepared for Lovira Academy, our vision for student success is already clear. We’ve been watching the current debate over "Remote Snow Days" vs. "Traditional Days Off," and we want you to know our stance.

​When we open in August 2027, our goal is continuity without the burnout. We believe in:

​Purposeful Technology: Using remote days for high-impact learning, not just busy work.

​Protecting Summer: Keeping our calendar on track so families can enjoy their June vacations.

​Balanced Magic: Ensuring that even on digital days, there’s plenty of time for students to get outside and be kids!
