WAH - change in plans for tomorrow! Many of our families had busy Spring Breaks and were not able to complete their interviews. We have decided to extend the deadline for interview presentations and move those presentations to May 19th.
Tomorrow morning at homeschool group we will instead be doing an activity that requires no prep. We will have each student choose a book in the library to review and create a book review to share with each other and other library patrons. Following that, there will be time for games, schoolwork, or free time in the library.
Thanks for being understanding as we make this last minute change and we look forward to seeing those presentations in May!

WAH November News -
Winneconne Area Homeschoolers
November 2025

Hi Homeschoolers!
October was a full and fun month with a successful kite making day, felt bookmark making, and botany presentations. Last week we split into 2 groups with our teens learning book binding and our elementary students watching the documentary Chimpanzee together. Yesterday we had 16 students and their families join us for a program and guided hike at Mosquito Hill in New London. It was a fantastic day of learning and exploring led by their dynamic naturalist Ms. Ally. We look forward to going back again this winter or spring for another program.
Only 5 more meetings together as a group before we break for the winter. The week of Thanksgiving we will not have official programming but we encourage families to visit the library and get stocked up on books for the Thanksgiving break. If you have a program that you are interested in leading next semester or can offer to lead a preplanned program, please let us know this month, as we will be finalizing next semester’s schedule in December.
Happy Homeschooling!

Winneconne Area Homeschoolers
October 2025

Hi Homeschoolers!
Please note, effective beginning in October, our NEW TIME for our group meetings will be 9:30-11:30am on Tuesday mornings at the Winneconne Public Library. We have had to make a change to better accommodate the staffing availability at the library. We hope that many of you will continue to be able to join us at this new time.
A few celebrations from September: We had 47 students attend our Cereal Book Report Day with over 30 students sharing a Book Report Box that they brought. Later in the month we greeted Josh and Payton from Premier Bank in Winneconne who educated 17 of our pr***en and teen students on all things money and making their own SMART financial goals for their futures. Finally, we enjoyed a beautiful fall day learning and playing together at Homeschool Field Day with FUSION and SO many friends of all ages with approximately 50 students participating. We are looking forward to a full and fantastic October.
Happy Homeschooling!

September Update:
Hi Homeschoolers! We have had a fantastic start to September. A beautiful walk on the Wiouwash trail last week and a fun Lego Challenge Day and Teen Current Events discussion this week. 10 moms got together for the Dessert and Devotional night this week and we all walked away feeling refreshed and more connected- so we will have to plan another one of those events again this year.
Thank you to all of the families who have joined us in these activities and if you haven’t made it over to us on Tuesday afternoons, remember that we are a drop-in group, so join us whenever you can.
Because of the large increase in our group size this year, we will be introducing signups for our weekly meetings so that we can plan for space and supplies. Please use the signup links for each week’s event if you know you will be attending. Please still come even if you forgot to sign up or become available at the last minute, we will always try to have a couple extra supplies on hand.
Happy Homeschooling!
