New Mexico Wrestling Standouts Give Back at Raton High School Camp

06/27/2026

The Coaching Staffs from Raton High School Wrestling, Trinidad High School Wrestling, and our Student Athletes would like to thank NAIA National Champion, NM State Champ, and Northwestern University Big Ten Wrestler JD Perez and Life University Wrestler Degan Baca for traveling to Raton, NM to host a 2-Day Wrestling Camp. Having their expertise on our mats was an incredible privilege. It was awesome to see wrestlers from across state lines unite in Tiger Gymnasium to learn from some of the best Collegiate Wrestlers in our Country. Their technical breakdown of the sport, coupled with competitive drive is what it takes to compete in High School Wrestling. Their instruction left our athletes inspired and highly motivated to set and reach for life goals. We sincerely thank you for investing your time into the next generation of regional wrestlers and for proving that small-town athletes can reach the absolute pinnacle of college sports.
