UPCOMING WORKSHOP: SUPPORTING CHILDREN THROUGH GRIEF AND LOSS
"Anytime there is change there is loss. Anytime there is loss there is grief." Grief and loss are everywhere! A diagnosis, a life threatening illness, or the death of a loved one, all impact the entire family including the children. As child care providers, how can you best support the children you care for who are dealing with these particular losses? This interactive workshop will help participants: understand the unique developmental needs of grieving children, develop skills for supporting children and families, learn concrete strategies and activities to use in your day care setting, and recognize your own limitations and self care needs.

INSTRUCTOR: The Center for Grieving Children

LOCATION: A Joyful Noise, 679 Roosevelt Trail, Windham, ME

DATE & TIME: March 12, 2015, 6-8 p.m.

COST: $5 PP

We will have a lively discussion on drop off and pick up time, notices and more including how to let parents know that play is a critical ‘child’s work’. Tuesday, May 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
