CLiCK Community Garden

CLiCK Community Garden CLiCK's new Community Vegetable Garden will be making its debut this Spring and Summer! Those interested should contact Kayla Rutland at [email protected]

This spring, CLiCK will welcome a new Community Vegetable Garden on-site at 41 Club Rd! UConn student, Kayla Rutland, has been granted funds from the UConn IDEA Grant to cooperate with CLiCK and other local non-profits to plan, build, and maintain a garden that will contribute to CLiCK’s vision of “Grow, Cook, Share”. The garden will help to address local food insecurity, spread ideas of sustainab

le agriculture, foster community engagement, and promote healthy lifestyles in the town of Windham. The garden will welcome members of partnering organizations as well as members of the community as a whole to learn skills necessary to grow their own food. Our harvests will be used in the CLiCK kitchen where members can learn to add value to their produce through processing and storage. Additionally, produce from the garden will be used in CLiCK’s teaching kitchen for nutrition and cooking classes to help promote more healthy eating habits. The community vegetable garden is based on ideas of collaboration and cooperation: we are looking for any and all volunteers to help us design, plan, build, plant, cultivate, harvest, share, cook, and learn!
