After crocheting for over 30 years, you’d think I would know better. 😂

I KNOW to weave my ends in as I go. I KNOW future me is going to be mad if I don’t.

And yet… here we are. 🤦‍♀️

21 granny squares. Approximately 4,762 ends to weave in. Okay, maybe that’s slightly dramatic, but looking at this pile, it feels accurate. 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only crocheter who does this to themselves. Do you weave as you go, or do you save all your suffering for the end? 🧶😂

Keeping myself busy while I’m visiting Florida ☀️🧶📚

So far I’ve finished 4 coasters, a washcloth, and a scrubbie, and I’m working on one more bigger coaster now. And because apparently just crocheting isn’t enough to keep my brain occupied, I’m also finishing up my audiobook. 😂

Honestly, this has been exactly what I needed. Small projects, no pressure, keeping my hands busy, and getting some reading in at the same time.

What do you listen to while you crochet: audiobooks, music, podcasts, or absolute silence? 👀

Show me what you’ve made with 100% mercerized cotton! 🧶

I worked up a few coasters tonight using mercerized cotton, and I have to say, it is so much easier on my hands than regular cotton. It’s smoother, softer to work with, and the stitches come out so clean and pretty.

I do think regular cotton may still make more sense for washcloths because of the absorbency, but whew... my hands definitely prefer mercerized cotton. 😂

So now I’m curious: What have you made with mercerized cotton? Coasters? Bags? Tops? Home decor? Show me what you’ve got! 🧶💙

Going to defrost in Florida for a couple of days. ☀️🌴

Today got flipped completely upside down when my previous arrangements fell through, and I honestly didn’t have the mental energy left for one more thing to go sideways. I’m already completely mentally and physically drained.

But I’m also sitting here feeling incredibly grateful.

I still have amazing friends in Florida who immediately opened their home to me and gave me somewhere to land. Tonight I’m sitting outside soaking up some much-needed Florida sunshine, listening to the water, doing a little mindless crochet, and just... being still for a minute.

Life has been A LOT lately, and sometimes you don’t realize how badly you needed to stop until you finally do.

So tonight I’m just grateful. For my family. For my friends. For people who show up when you need them.

And for the fact that I FINALLY got an Urban Buzz again. 😂 Priorities, people. I have seriously missed these things.

Florida, I needed you for a minute. ❤️☀️🌴

I haven’t posted on here or crocheted in SO long… and then Facebook decided to randomly monetize this page the other day 🤦‍♀️😂

Now I’m sitting here trying to decide what to even do with it at this point.

Do I:
🧶 Get back into crocheting?
✏️ Rebrand and change the name?
🚮 Just let the page go completely?

Honestly kinda wild this page is still getting attention after being abandoned for so long.

Guess the crochet people never truly leave the internet 😂
