If you see these two out make sure to wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

But you probably won’t see them unless you’re on the lake. How else would these two spend their birthday!!

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY ELI AND BENTLEY!!!

Thank you to the RDC students, parents and staff for a very productive open house. Several students signed up for our informational meeting coming up on the 26th. It was great to meet you all and look forward to seeing you again soon.

A huge thank you to our veteran accomplished returning anglers Eli and Bentley Purcell and Megan Robinson for being there to answer any questions but most importantly represent this team like you have for several years with class and pride!!!

We will be at the GRC open house on 8/10!!! Looking forward to seeing every one then!!!

Several questions have been received pertaining to the bass team. Here is a small tidbit of information that may help with those questions.

The search for a new head coach is under way.

The trails that we fish are two person teams per boat. Also in the boat will be an adult boat captain. The boat and boat captain ARE NOT provided by the team. The school does have two boats. This is tricky on their availability. This can be discussed once the coach is in place, team signups and the first team meeting take place. The best way to view this is if you want to guarantee you are going to be able to get the full experience, fish a full trail, or any other available tournaments you should sign up with a partner, boat, and captain already in place. If you do not have a boat or captain available you can still be a part of the team and participate in team meetings/practices and other activities.

Your boat captain does not have to have bass tournament experience. It does help but is absolutely not a requirement. There are boat restrictions on types of boats allowed and what installed equipment must be on the boat.

This is for grades 7-12. 6th grade is also considered middle school to a couple of trails. Some other trails allows younger anglers to participate. If you have a younger child that is interested please reach out some of those options can be discussed.

If you have a team of 7-8 grade anglers these are classified as juniors. They fish the same tournaments as the high school however they only fish against other juniors. Their tournament hours are usually shorter. For example: The high school tournament hours are 7am-3pm. Juniors check in time is 1:30pm. Boat captains for junior teams are also allowed to be more involved than high school team captains. If a 7th or 8th grade angler teams up with a high school angler then they must abide by high school rules.

High school is 9th-12th.

The cost to participate is really hard to give an exact answer for. That will depend on several factors and can be discussed further once the season gets started.

The GRC bass team has a proud tradition of being respected and competitive both locally and nationally.

Mark your calendars. This should be an awesome event. Bypass Bait and Tackle always helps our program as well as most all other High School teams.
