WHAT A DAY! We had the pleasure yesterday of enjoying the Cincinnati Art Museum, NKU's 2026 dance showcase "Shift", and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra present the music of "Star Wars." It was a great time of learning, fun, inspiration, and camaraderie. Throw in a visit to Findlay Market and some pre-concert lightsaber training, and it was easily one of our favorite days of the year.

We're proud to announce that several GRC Fine Arts Cohort students (and many other GRC students) have been selected to attend the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts! Several students have also been selected as alternates.

Accepted:
Lilly Griffett - Vocal Music
Olivia Root - Instrumental Music (Woodwinds)
Angel Fischer - Instrumental Music (Woodwinds)
Addison Moore - Musical Theatre

Alternates:
Addison Taylor - Vocal Music and Musical Theatre
Ella Pace - Vocal Music
Keaton Grissam - Instrumental Music (Brass)
Josie Ward - Creative Writing
Kailei Winburn - Creative Writing

Only 276 students across all disciplines are selected for this honor. The students will spend three weeks this summer learning from world-class instructors alongside other talented, passionate young artists.

We are extremely proud of EVERY student who auditioned. Taking the step to put oneself out there and prepare an application and audition, especially with something as personal as one's art, takes guts, passion, and belief. We can't wait to see where every student who went through this process goes in their artistic life.

Many thanks to Dr. Sila Darville from EKU for doing a master class with our string players today and presenting about Turkish music, particularly their tuning systems, a specialty of hers. A good time was had by all.
