Murdock Alumni Band & Chorus Alumni/ Community Band based in Winchendon, MA

Goal: To gather Murdock music alums and Winchendon residents to celebrate Winchendon's 250th!

My goal is to put together a band composed of Winchendon residents and Murdock alumni for the celebration of Winchendon’s 250th anniversary. Music has long been important to this community and I hope that the establishment of an alumni band will encourage young musicians to continue to participate in music. Please feel free to pass on this information to friends and family. June 21, 2014 is right

around the corner so dust off that instrument and practice! REHEARSAL INFORMATION:

Rehearsals are every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Murdock Middle High School Band room (you'll see the lights on when you drive around the school.) If you are unable to make the rehearsals, send us a private message and we'll get the music to you to review!

The Murdock Music Department celebrates musical theatre with a new musical r***e featuring songs from some of the most beloved shows. Come enjoy a day of musical theatre Saturday, November 13, at 2:00pm at Murdock Middle / High School. Tickets $5, all proceeds will go to the Murdock Music Department.

A message from Winchendon Winds!

Calling all music alums! Join us this Saturday, March 16, at 4 PM at the Murdock Middle High School Auditorium for the first-ever Murdock Music Festival! The Festival is being organized by Aly Galipeau, Friends of Music, and guest artists Winchendon Winds. The program will feature student instrumental and choral performances, including a reprise of "All That Jazz" from the spring musical. Winchendon Winds, a 40-piece professional band, will perform several pieces. We'll culminate with a massed band and choral number, and close with an audience-participation rendition of the Murdock Fight song as you have never heard it before! Come join us! Admission is free.
