In this video I price this arrangement using today’s wholesale flower prices from major wholesalers in the US.

However, I made this arrangement about five years ago when I lived on the West Coast so the prices weren’t this high. One thing we don’t talk about enough is how much location changes the game each florist is playing. Access to locally grown flowers versus relying on expensive imports can completely change what it costs to create the exact same design.

That’s why inspiration photos can be misleading. They don’t come with a wholesale invoice.

The most profitable florists understand that profitability starts long before they calculate a markup. They build products around the flowers they can realistically source, their unique design style, AND what their clients will perceive as valuable enough to happily invest in.
