Getting ready for le 14 juillet?

Make these festive French Flag Fruit Skewers to celebrate Bastille Day with a sweet and simple snack!

🍓🫐🍡

Ingredients & Supplies
-Fresh blueberries 🫐
-Mini marshmallows (or banana slices for a natural option)
-Fresh raspberries 🍓
-Wooden skewers

Instructions
1. Prepare the ingredients:
Wash and dry your berries. Get your marshmallows and skewers ready.
2. Assemble your skewer to match the French flag (blue–white–red):
Start with 5–6 blueberries
Add 5–6 mini marshmallows
Finish with 5–6 raspberries
3. Repeat for as many skewers as you’d like!
4. Line them up side by side for a full tricolore effect 🇫🇷

🎨 Make a Monet-Inspired Water Lily Painting
Explore French art with a hands-on project inspired by Claude Monet’s famous garden in Giverny!

🧒 Ages: 5–10
⏰ Time: 30 minutes

🎨 Materials:
-Blue, green, and purple paint or markers
-White paper or cardstock
-Coffee filters or cupcake liners
-Scissors
-Glue

✨ Instructions:
1. Create the water background:
Use blue, green, and purple paint (or markers) to cover the background paper with soft swirls — encourage “impressionist” dabbing or strokes!
2. Make the water lilies:
Flatten coffee filters or cupcake liners and color them lightly with pink or white. Let dry if using paint.
3. Cut lily pads:
Cut circles or ovals from green paper.
4. Assemble the scene:
Glue the lily pads and flowers on top of the painted “pond” background.

🇫🇷 DIY Eiffel Tower with Q-tips: A fun French craft for kids to practice fine motor skills + learn about Paris!

🧒 Ages: 4–9
⏰ Time: 20–30 minutes
🎨 Materials: Q-tips, black paper, glue, scissors, optional glitter

✨ Instructions:
1. Cut Q-tips into different lengths.
2. Arrange them into the shape of the Eiffel Tower on black or dark blue paper.
3. Glue in place.
4. Decorate with stars, glitter, or even a little French flag at the top!

✨ While crafting, play French music and teach a few words like:
- la tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower)
- la colle (glue)
