We have been closely monitoring the status of roadways throughout our Red Clay community. While our maintenance and custodial teams have worked diligently to prepare our school buildings, many neighborhood streets across the district remain unsafe for buses and student travel.

Out of an abundance of caution and with student and staff safety as our top priority, all Red Clay schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. This day will serve as a snow day for students. All after-school activities and programs are also canceled for Wednesday.

Please note that weather-related decisions apply only to the current school day. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

Are you passionate about school facilities or do you have a background in facility maintenance, planning, or engineering? The Red Clay Facilities Committee is for you! Come join us! We are still looking for new members! (You must reside in Red Clay). The meeting will be held at Stanton Middle School (Administrative Office) tonight, Monday, Dec. 8th at 6PM. Red Clay never disappoints when it comes to showing up for the annual Hispanic Day Parade in Wilmington!!! I was joined by fellow Board Member Devon Hynson, the honorable Dr. Adriana Bohm, who holds a lasting legacy on the Red Clay Board, and many friends down 4th Street. I love seeing our Board members amongst the people, engaging with our families and celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!

Tis the season! This Sunday, December 8th, at 2 PM, is the annual Elsmere Christmas Parade! 🎄🎷🎶

Free and open to all, please come out to join us! The parade will run along Kirkwood Highway in front of the Elsmere Fire Station; a great way to enjoy the holiday season!

I’m especially proud to cheer on our talented bands from McKean, DMA, Conrad, and Cab, all representing our amazing Red Clay Schools!

A huge thank you to the Elsmere Fire Company and their Auxiliary for hosting this beloved event year after year. Your dedication helps bring our community together and fills the season with joy.
