Fourteen-year-old Konstantin came to St Mary’s University for a summer camp with the group. This week, he and his friends unexpectedly found themselves in the middle of a real graduation day. 🎓

Graduates in their gowns, proud families taking photos, flowers, applause and celebration all around the campus. It was quite a scene for our youngest reporter.

Konstantin was a little shy when we first pointed the camera at him, but that did not last long. He soon relaxed, smiled and told us what was happening in his own way.

For young people, these moments matter. University can seem very far away at 14, but seeing a graduation ceremony from just a few steps away makes it feel more real and much closer.

For us at PRODIREKT and Verbalists Education, it is a real privilege to bring young learners to a place like St Mary’s, where they can experience one of London’s most beautiful campuses and get an early feel for life at a leading UK university.

And this is where our work becomes especially meaningful. Some students first come to us for one summer school, then join other Verbalists programs over the years. When the time for university finally arrives, many return to us again, and we help them choose the right path and complete their enrollment. From their first summer abroad to their first day at university, we are often there for much more of the story than people realize.

London Summer School at St Mary’s University gave 14-year-old Konstantin and his Verbalists friends an unexpected opportunity to witness a real university graduation ceremony.

Some young people are clearly creative, but they are still discovering what that really means. Fashion? Design? Interiors? Visual communication? A full degree? Or maybe a short summer 𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 course first, just to see how they respond to a real design-school environment?

This is why we wanted to share our introduction to Raffles Milano. It is written for students and parents who are starting to think seriously about design studies, but still want things explained in a simple, human way.

Our student Graysen and her parents came to PRODIREKT and looking for the right summer experience to help her explore a possible future in design. We recommended combining Product Design and Interior Design at Raffles Milano, so she could experience both fields before making any bigger academic decisions.

One week focused on objects, function, sketches, and software. The next moved into space, light, materials, and atmosphere.

And Milan did the rest. Company visits, design districts, rooftop yoga at La DoubleJ, new friendships, and, of course, some serious Italian gelato research. 🇺🇸 🇮🇹

Graysen returned home with new skills, unforgettable memories, and a much clearer idea of where her design path might lead.

Seventeen-year-old Graysen Stockton came from Florida to Milan excited to attend two design courses, meet new people, and discover whether Interior Design could be the right academic path for her.

After Valencia, Berlin, New York and Malta, our are off again. Next stop: London, straight from Belgrade. 🇬🇧✈️

The second Belgrade group has set off, with plenty of hugs, excitement and a few emotional airport goodbyes. And now they are already on the beautiful St. Mary's University campus, with plenty of excitement, new friendships and unforgettable moments ahead.
