In The Education of God, David offers a modern perspective on several Old Testament stories, exploring humanity’s role and responsibility in creating a better future for life on our planet.

His book Unitarian Universalism examines the history of the Unitarian and Universalist traditions, including the tensions that existed before and after their 1961 merger and the continuing dialogue between theism and humanism within the denomination.
