The American Heart Association’s ACLS Provider Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), as well as the 2025 Guideline for the Management of Patients With Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS). The ACLS Course teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and ACS.

In a moment that could have ended in tragedy, Leah, daughter of Lavon Police Department Special Programs Admin Heather James, stayed calm under pressure and saved her brother’s life when he began choking. Thanks to the lifesaving skills she had been taught by her mom from the Lavon Babysitter Club instructor guides - including abdominal thrusts (formerly called the Heimlich maneuver) - Leah knew exactly what to do in that critical moment. And because of her quick thinking and courage, her brother is safe today. 🙏 This was a real life-or-death emergency, and Leah proved that age is no barrier when it comes to being a hero. 👏 Great job, Leah! It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our beloved CPR instructors here at 910CPR.

Jennifer Meyer-Ezzell wasn’t just a part of our team—she was family. A passionate educator, a compassionate soul, and a fierce advocate for lifesaving skills, she touched countless lives through her teaching. Whether it was a classroom full of first-timers or healthcare providers renewing their skills, she brought energy, heart, and patience to every class.

Her impact goes far beyond the hours spent in front of a projector. She gave people the tools to save lives—and that kind of legacy never fades.

We will miss her laughter, her dedication, and the way she made every student feel confident and empowered.

Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time. We’ll be honoring her memory the best way we know how—by continuing to teach with the same passion she showed every single day.

Obituary for Jennifer Ezzell at Market Street Chapel Jennifer Lynn Meyer Ezzell, 40, passed away in her home on June 20, 2025. Jennifer was a kind and loving mother and a fiercely passionate nurse. Those who will miss her include her fianc, Steven Myre her three children Chase White, Sawyer Ezzell, and Emmalyn Ezzell, and her soon-to-be stepson
