I took this footage while on safari in Sri Lanka, and the environment reminded me so much of what prolonged academic pressure can feel like for students in demanding programs.
Constant alertness.
Constant vigilance.
Constant awareness of consequences.
After enough stress, many students stop experiencing school as “just academics” and start experiencing it as something their nervous system interprets as threat.
That is why:
small setbacks can feel catastrophic,
focusing becomes harder,
panic increases,
and even being “a little behind” can start feeling unbearable.
A lot of students quietly live in this state for far longer than people around them realize.
The Academic Strategy Session was designed to help overwhelmed students regain clarity, direction, and a more realistic path forward under pressure.
