Two WERC PLC opportunities are kicking off this September!

The EL PLC Series kicks off next Tuesday, September 8, and the Music PLC Series kicks off September 24.

Both series include virtual and in-person opportunities throughout the 2026–2027 school year, giving educators space to connect, collaborate, share ideas, and strengthen practice with peers across western North Dakota.

🚌 Bus Driver Training is THIS WEDNESDAY in Richardton!

Still need your required bus driver training for the 2026–27 school year? There’s still time to join us.

This 3-hour in-person training is designed for school transportation staff who still need to complete their training requirements or want a refresher before the school year gets fully underway.

Only a few WERC Bus Driver Training dates remain this fall, so if Richardton is the best location for you, now’s the time to get registered.

WERC’s Refining Explicit Instruction virtual multi-day series is designed for K–12 educators, instructional coaches, administrators, and paraprofessionals who want to sharpen their instructional practice with strategies they can use right away.

Throughout the series, participants will explore:
• Clear modeling
• Guided practice
• Frequent student response
• Effective pacing
• Purposeful lesson delivery

🎓 Optional 2 VCSU credits available for an additional $120

💛 What a day.

The 2026 WERC Center Fall Conference brought together professionals from across our region for a full day of learning, connection, collaboration, and a whole lot of energy.

348 attendees. 66 breakout sessions. 45 presenters. One incredible day.

From our keynote with Dave Weber to three blocks of breakout sessions, our exhibitors and sponsors, and a closing address from North Dakota State Superintendent Levi Bachmeier, this conference was made possible by so many people willing to show up, share their expertise, learn from one another, and invest in the work happening across our region.

To our attendees, presenters, exhibitors, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and WERC staff: thank you.

We hope you left with new ideas, new connections, and renewed energy for the year ahead.
