COACHING SPOTLIGHT

Returning for his 3rd season on staff is Coach Steve Wellenc. Coach Dub returns to his role coaching first, hitting I/O, working directly with our first baseman, and our hitters. Dub is also an Erie Alumni playing for the Kats in the early 90s as a 2 way player, was named a Region 3 All Star, Team Captain, and MVP.

COACHES SPOTLIGHT

Returning for his 3rd season as a coach in is Coach Connor Desiderio. Coach Desi has served as the Pitching Coach for the Kats after spending a season as the assistant pitching coach his first year on staff. Desi is also an alumni of the program, holding both the single season and career wins records for the Kats.

Returning for his 4th season in is Coach Derek Jozwiak. Coach Joz is the team’s recruiting coordinator, strength coach, social media director, he works with our hitters & catchers, and much more. We’re also excited to announce that this season Joz has been promoted to Associate Head Coach of the Kats!

Leading the charge into the 2026-2027 season is the man, the myth, the legend…Head Coach Joe Bauth. Coach is heading into his 36th season as the headman in Kats Nation and over sees every facet of the day to day operations of our historic program.

The ol homestead in got a little upgrade just in time for fall, as our staff works everyday to not only bring a great & historic baseball culture to our players, but a phenomenal environment and day to day experience.
Nothing better than an on campus home field that you can call your own!!!

It’s going to be a BUSY fall in as we’re lined up for a full slate of games against teams ranging from WNY/Southern ON travel organizations, NJCAA, USCAA, NCAA D3, D2, and D1 programs.

As we get closer to the start of another year in , let’s take a look at some of the places our guys have ended up after their time here since 2022.
From local D3’s to the MLB draft league and everything in between, Kats have gone on to play at all levels of the game all over the country.
The only real question is…who’s next?

Every summer gives back to the game by hosting a youth camp at our home field. This summer we ran a pair of them sharing our love of the game with the next generation of ball players. Thank you to everyone who came out to play with us this summer.

Another Kat is committed to play at the next level!! Soph OF John Callahan has committed to continue his athletic and academic career at SUNY Oswego! Congrats JC, we can’t wait to see you rip it up with the Lakers!
