Coming this Fall to Pittsfield -- my 5-week storytelling class at The Common Room at Zion Lutheran Church of Pittsfield!
Develop confidence and joy in your storytelling skills, in a small, convivial and supportive group class. Learn key elements of compelling storytelling, with personalized coaching every step of the way. The class culminates in a free public performance showcase on Tue Oct 20 in the beautiful Common Room event space at Zion Lutheran -- invite your friends and family!
Our theme for this Fall class is: Found Tales - Stranger Than Fiction! Ever read a news story and thought to yourself: "Wow, there's no way anyone could have made that up!" That's the idea driving our showcase event: True found tales from around the world that are stranger than fiction, brought to life vividly on stage by trained storytellers!
If you already have a story in mind that fits this theme -- great! But no worries if you are stumped; I will bring a selection of real news stories for you to pick from, ranging from the absurd to the profound.
Cost is a sliding scale: Please pay what you can afford from $50 to $100. I need at least five people to register in order to cover the costs of renting the space for five weeks 🙂 So please share onward if you can, and stay tuned for the free performance on Tue Oct 20 even if you can't join this class!
