Welcome to Excel Pros! My name is Laura, and I am excited to share with you all my love for Excel! I have been an accountant for almost 10 years and I have loved Excel for almost as long. I was fortunate to learn the majority of what I know on my first job, and have been manipulating large sets of data ever since. I am a quick learner, and over time I developed my own set of rules, tips and tricks that I follow to make Excel spreadsheets easier to use for those with no experience. In the past year, I started teaching Level I and Level II Excel classes to the employees at the company I work for. The response I have received has been overwhelming – I realized 3 things as soon as I taught my first class:
1. There is a huge need in the community for in-person training. I wish to close the gap by teaching Excel essentials– skills that anyone can use for any job they have and even in their personal life.
2. The cost of a quality Excel class is typically high – these low-cost classes for individuals or company sponsors are designed so anyone can advance their skills. The classes are interactive, with a maximum number of 15 participants at a time, to make sure that everyone has a chance to ask questions and learn ALL the topics.
3. I LOVED teaching the classes. Simple as that, I am doing this because I love Excel, I loved teaching, and I especially loved hearing about people’s successful use after the class has ended. Please reach out and say ‘Laura, I used a v-lookup the other day!’ or ‘Laura, I am using the template we created’. I love hearing things like this, it means that how and what I teach is working.

I also want this to be an easy avenue to ask questions on how to approach a specific issue you encountered in Excel. Hopefully myself, or someone else on this page had experience with something similar and will have good advice for you. I might even share some tips and tricks here and there to keep things interesting.
