EXCITING NEWS!!

Over the last couple of months The Williamson Parks Commission and the Williamson High School Athletic Hall of Fame have been working on our MOU Partnership Agreement. After approval of both organizations the signatures are in place and we are moving forward.

We have some amazing plans that we are already discussing and we will collectively be releasing these exciting projects and events in the near future. We look forward to all the good things we will be doing for our community and the region.

With 2023's Induction Weekend now in the rearview mirror, it's time to be looking ahead to the 2024 Williamson High School Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Weekend on August 2nd & 3rd. And the nominating window is now OPEN for nominations to be made and recieved for the Athletic HOF Induction Class of 2024! Just download and print the 2024 Nomination Form, complete it in full and mail it to the address listed. ANYONE may nominate someone to the Athletic Hall of Fame. The window to receive nominations ends MARCH 15th, 2024 bu you don't have to wait til then to submit nominations. We look forward to receiving your nominations and encourage everyone to do so and participate in the process!

Here’s a fun game to enjoy on this “Snowy Sunday”:
Matewan at Williamson, September 27th 1991. The Tigers would win, 30-8 before a massive crowd at Lefty Hamilton Park. The game itself would end in a bench clearing brawl which can be seen at the end of the film.

Here's an awesome throwback to enjoy on this snow-day! Our friends at Princeton High School have recently uploaded many videos onto their youtube channel and we're excited to share the Williamson Wolfpack Vs. Princeton Tigers Basketball Game from March 6th 1981 at the Williamson Field House. The Pack would win this game, 74-65, however both teams would meet again in a fateful Class "AAA" State Championship Game a few weeks later....

Although Williamson High School closed in the Spring of 2011, the WHS “Class of 2012” came together this weekend at the Mountaineer Hotel for their 10-Year Reunion. We hope you all had a wonderful time together reminiscing on your days on Alderson Street! 🐺🐾
