LEEP LEEP is the Left-Behind Children Education and Empowerment Project at the College of William and Mary

Left behind children are children whose parents left home to seek job opportunities in cities and thus were left at home. They are usually under the care of relatives and a lot of them can not even take care of themselves.

There are approximately 61 million left-behind children in China who are left in rural regions while their parents work in urban areas. These children have very limited educational resources and many experience emotional insecurity. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer teacher to teach these kids through online platforms, come to our interest meeting next Monday! WE NEED YOUR HELP~

Today is the 15th of the 8th month on Chinese Lunar Calendar. also an important day for Chinese, Mid-Autumn Festival, the day of reunion.

It is a time for family members and loved ones to congregate and enjoy the full moon - an auspicious symbol of abundance, harmony and luck. Adults will usually indulge in fragrant moon cakes of many varieties with a good cup of piping hot Chinese tea, while the little ones run around with their brightly-lit lanterns.

Wish you and your family a merry Mid-Autumn Festival, bliss, and happiness~
人心似月 团团圆圆🌕

Best,
From LEEP
