🔒 Enhancing Safety Across Tomcat Nation

Stone County School District is adding another layer to our safety measures with the implementation of the OpenGate weapons detection system, made possible through grant funding.

The system will be used for the first time Tuesday, September 8 at the Stone High volleyball games. Because this will be a new process for our community, guests are encouraged to allow a little extra time when arriving.

While implementation begins at our new high school and athletic facilities, the system will be used across the district at schools and school events as needed.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our families and community as we introduce this additional tool to help keep everyone who learns, works, competes, and visits our schools safe. 🐾
