What a fun way to end the year! ☀️

Educator Preparation students wrapped up the school year by volunteering at local elementary schools for AR parties and Water Day activities! We are so thankful for the partnership with SES and PES and for the opportunities provided to our students throughout the year.

Experiences like these allow our future educators to build relationships, gain hands-on experience, and make lasting memories with students and staff alike. Thank you again to SES and PES for your continued support of the Ed. Prep program! 💙🍎

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, our Educator Preparation students were given a meaningful task: choose a teacher who made the greatest impact on their lives and write them a heartfelt letter explaining why. 💌🍎

While we didn’t capture all the moments in photos, and wish we could place a thank-you note in the hands of every teacher, please know this: You truly make a difference every single day.

Your influence reaches far beyond the classroom, and your impact lasts a lifetime. Thank you for all that you do!

Today we celebrated our current Ed Prep seniors and wrapped up the school year with a fun end-of-year celebration! 🎉

🐾 Our Educator Preparation students put their creativity and planning skills to work by creating mock classrooms! 🍎📚
⭐️ Each student selected a grade level and subject area, then designed a classroom environment that reflected their ideas.
💙 They did an amazing job showcasing their creativity, organization, and passion for education. We are proud of their hard work! ✨

🐾 Educator Preparation students had a great time attending William Carey University’s “Teaching is a Superpower” workshop!

🍎Students participated in breakout sessions where they learned more about the education programs offered at WCU and the powerful, positive impact teachers can have on their students and communities.

⭐️Thank you, William Carey University, for hosting such an inspiring and meaningful experience for our future educators!

🐾🍎Educator Preparation students completed their final classroom hours at local schools this week! We would like to thank SES, PES, and SMS for allowing these future educators the opportunity to learn from the amazing teachers in your schools. Your support helps prepare the next generation of educators, and we truly appreciate the time and guidance you provided to our students.

📚❤️ This week in Ed Prep, our students have been learning about engaging reading activities and crafts that align with Read Across America Week and Dr. Seuss’s Birthday. Both of these events are celebrated during the first week of March in elementary schools across the country.

Students were tasked with selecting a Dr. Seuss book and recording themselves reading it as if they were presenting to an elementary classroom. They were provided guidance beforehand and will also receive constructive feedback on their recordings.
