☂️ 🎩 MAD PROPS with Bethany Weddle. Step into showmanship with props like umbrellas, canes, and hats! Bethany has taught several CPT classes and camp before, including swing dancing, line dancing, and Our Gang. MAD PROPS will make every step feel like a game.
🎭 SCENE MAKERS with Taryn Baker. Transform imagination into stagecraft! Explore character development while building essential life skills like public speaking, creative collaboration, and self-confidence—all in an encouraging and supportive environment with Taryn. Taryn is a CPT alum and interned for CPT’s Beauty and the Beast two years ago.

CPT’s Our Gang classes offer a supportive opportunity for young children ages 5-7 to learn a little singing, dancing, and acting, and get to perform on stage before an encouraging audience. This fall we welcome back Ashley Bridgwater and Brooklyn Bobetsky as Our Gang teachers! Ashley has taught multiple Our Gang classes for CPT; Brooklyn was an Our Gang director for Kids Camp this past summer. Both teachers are kind and encouraging and will help your child gain confidence and skills. Swipe through the carousel to meet Brooklyn and Ashley and read more about them!

CPT showed up to represent our wonderful line up of Fall theatre classes and Mary Poppins with the Freedom Preparatory community for their K-12 Back to School event! Freedom Prep Academy’s elementary school will be meeting at Church at the Cross (the home of the Wichita Warriors) this year, using east wing spaces that CPT also shares. It was great to meet Freedom Prep families, and also to hang out with Adin Gilmore, who presented his music lesson opportunities at the table next to ours (slide 5)!

Register now for fall CPT classes—our first week kicks off August 10 with Elf Jr auditions, followed by Elf Jr and A Year with Frog and Toad and Our Gang classes on August 11, and theatre classes on Thursdays on August 13. Mary Poppins auditions are August 14!

Anything can happen when God moves in our hearts. This fall at CPT, we are telling stories of TRANSFORMATION. God makes us into new creations when we trust in Him—and that kind of inner change isn’t something we can do for ourselves. But when the Holy Spirit stirs our hearts to change, we can experience transformation. Our fall season line up includes stories of transformation.

Whether it is the power of friendship to change us, as Frog and Toad experience, or the magical enchantment of Buddy the Elf and Mary Poppins, all these stories feature characters who need to be changed. But, like us, they need a power outside of themselves to make that change.
