✨ WHAT WAS S.P.A.R.K.’ n TODAY?! ✨

Our FIRST DAY of S.P.A.R.K. was a HUGE success!! 🎉❤️💜

We were so excited to welcome our students back and see S.P.A.R.K. filled with energy, laughter, and lots of familiar, and new, faces!

Today we played some fun get-to-know-you games and discovered just how much we have in common! 😊 Comment with your favorite candy bar below. Let’s see how much you all have in common!!
We also jumped into some group games focused on teamwork, communication, and positive social skills, all while having a whole lot of fun together! 🙌

Tomorrow is the day!! 🎉❤️💜

Our first day of S.P.A.R.K. Afterschool for the 2026–2027 school year is finally here, and we are BEYOND excited to have all of our kiddos back! 🥹 We can’t wait to get another amazing year started!

🚌 A couple of quick transportation reminders for tomorrow:

❤️ Haysville Middle School: Students will ride Bus 24 or Bus 12 to Haysville High School/Tri City. These are the first two buses in the bus line.

💜 Haysville West Middle School: Students will ride Bus 16. This is the last bus in the bus line.

Please remind your student to head out to their bus as quickly as possible after dismissal. These buses continue on to other routes, so they are not able to wait very long.

🏠 Transportation Home: If you requested transportation home from S.P.A.R.K., we have you on our list and Transportation is working on getting those routes set up for us.

Thank you all for your patience! Between wrapping up an amazing summer program and preparing for the new school year, our enrollment mailer took a little longer than I had hoped. The good news is... enrollment is officially OPEN! 🎉

📬 You should receive your enrollment mailer soon! Enrollment mailers are being sent to all Haysville USD 261 students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades using the address on file in PowerSchool.

📍 Please Note: The location has changed to GYM 2 due to unforeseen circumstances.

This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, so bring your family and friends and come support our amazing S.P.A.R.K. students as they showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial skills!

Patrons will purchase S.P.A.R.K. Dollars to use at our student-run booths.

📢 Reminder for S.P.A.R.K. Families:
• Students will be dismissed at 3:00 PM so they can help clean up and close down their booths.
• We will NOT walk students to the pool after the fundraiser.
• Bus transportation and regular dismissal will run as usual, with the only exception being that students attending the pool will need to arrange their own transportation or walk over.

🦒 Good afternoon, SPARK families!

We are excited for our field trip to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium tomorrow! This is our last field trip of the summer as we will have our annual Market Day fundraiser next Thursday.

🚌 Departure Information

* We will leave promptly at 7:00 a.m.
* Drop-off: East side of HMS near the tennis courts.
* Please have students arrive by 6:45 a.m. so we have plenty of time for check-in before departing.

🍎 Breakfast & Snacks
Because of our early departure, breakfast will not be available at school. Students are welcome to bring breakfast and/or snacks to enjoy on the bus.

🚍 Transportation Reminder
There will be no morning bus transportation to SPARK and no bus transportation home after we return from the field trip.

⏰ Return Time
We are scheduled to return to HMS at approximately 6:00 p.m.

🎒 A few reminders:

* 👕 Please have your student wear their SPARK shirt.
* 💧 Send a refillable water bottle to help them stay hydrated throughout the day.
* 👟 Please have your student wear comfortable walking shoes, as we will be doing a lot of walking throughout the zoo and aquarium.

🌞 Good afternoon, SPARK families!

We are excited for our field trip to The Gathering Place in Tulsa tomorrow, Thursday, July 9, 2026!

🚌 Departure Information

We will leave promptly at 7:30 a.m.
Drop-off: East side of HMS near the tennis courts.
Please have students arrive by 7:15 a.m. so we have plenty of time for check-in before departing.

🍳 Breakfast
Students who would like breakfast are welcome to eat in the HMS cafeteria, which opens at 7:00 a.m. Please note that students will not be checked in to SPARK while eating breakfast. Once they finish, they should report to SPARK staff for check-in.

🚍 Transportation Reminder
There will be no morning bus transportation to SPARK and no bus transportation home after we return from the field trip.

⏰ Return Time
We are scheduled to return to HMS at 6:00 p.m.

🎒 A few reminders:

👕 Please have your student wear their SPARK shirt.

💦 Some activities at the park involve water, so students may get a little wet. They do not need to wear swimsuits, as they will not be swimming or getting completely soaked. If they'd like, they are welcome to bring a change of clothes or a towel to leave on the bus.

Good afternoon S.P.A.R.K. families!
This week has been so much fun with the kids designing theme parks and constructing rides. They will present them to the group next week, so I won't spoil the surprise by posting any pics/videos yet. Stay tuned.😊

🎢TOMORROW, THURSDAY, JUNE 25TH we are heading to Frontier City in Oklahoma City. We are leaving at 8:00 in the morning. There is no bus transportation to S.P.A.R.K. in the morning or home after we return.

🌟Students need to wear their S.P.A.R.K. shirts.

🌟Students need to bring a water bottle, comfortable shoes, and sunscreen (if they use it)

🌟Students do not need to bring money, but if they do Frontier City is cashless. This means if they bring cash, they will need to purchase a prepaid debit card. They will not get money back that they do not spend, however the card never expires and it can be used at and Six Flags theme park.

🚨STUDENTS WILL BE DROPPED OFF AND PICKED UP ON THE EAST SIDE OF HMS, NEAR THE TENNIS COURTS. STUDENTS MUST CHECK OUT WITH THEIR STAFF BEFORE LEAVING.
