Review: Ms. Quilty Subscription Box

I was seeing the ads and was intrigued by the subscription program. I have been sewing since I was nine years old learning from mom, aunt and some very good teachers.

The first box came and the "free gift" was one of those cheap circles of pins. Who sews and doesn't already have pins? The ruler was nice. The fabric was okay, nothing to brag about.

The real problem was the patterns! The pattern was not labeled correctly. One of the pieces would clearly require 2 but labeled "cut one" - another piece was supposed to be cut on fold - not labeled at all. Darts were not marked either making it a guessing game.

The written instructions left out major information as well. Lucky I know something about sewing. But, when it came to final assembly, the pieces did not line up - even following the instructions to the letter (which, again were not good).

I only got the one box. Glad I cancelled the subscription. For the same price you can go to the local fabric/craft store where there is usually someone who knows how to sew and can recommend a pattern, fabric and any additional supplies.

In short - don't waste your money on this.
