Even the coolest pencil likes to stay cool. šāļø
Thanks to everyone who shared the Kids In Need Foundation campaign earlier this year. Because of your reposts (and the generosity of Ticonderoga) nearly 40,000 Dixon Ticonderoga pencils are headed to classrooms across Kansas.
Not bad for a few social media shares. Thank you for helping us put more tools into the hands of teachers and students.

As another school year comes to a close, we have been reflecting on everything that this community made possible through Project Teacher this year.
Together, we supported over 3800 educators impacting more than 75,000 students across 257 schools in 66 school districts. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, more than $2.4million in schools supplies and educational resources were distributed directly into classrooms where they were needed most ā including 585,000 pencils, 35,000 books, and 31,000 backpacks.
This year also marked the launch of new programs that allowed us to care for educators in even deeper ways, including our Counselor Care Kits supporting school counselors and our SPARK (Supporting Public education Across Rural Kansas) initiative focued on strengthening support for rural Kansas schools and communities. While much (90%)of our work remains centered in Wichita-area schools, we are proud to see this mission continue reaching classrooms across Kansas.
Thank you for believing that when teachers are equipped, students thrive ā and when students thrive communities grow stronger.

Today was one of those reminders that supporting educators doesnāt stop at city limits. While over 90% of Project Teacherās work is focused on Wichita-area schools, initiatives like SPARK (Supporting Public Education Across Rural Kansas) are helping us continue expanding support to rural educators and communities across the state. Todayās deliveries took us through Herrington, Chapman, and Marion, with a short stop in Manhattan as weāre excited about some new partnerships taking shape there too.
No matter the zip code, educators deserve to feel supported and valued. Because at the end of the day, strong schools = strong communities, and investing in teachers is investing in the future of every town, city, and student we serve.
Marion- Florence USD 408
Herington USD 487
Chapman Elementary School
Manhattan-Ogden USD 383

A huge thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Wichita for supporting Project Teacher through a recent grant benefiting our Core Classroom Kits initiative.
Because of this investment, more students in high-need classrooms across Wichita will have access to the basic school supplies they need to learn, participate, and succeed from day one. Something as simple as a pencil or notebook should never stand between a child and their education, and weāre grateful for partners like Kiwanis who believe every student deserves a strong start.
Strong schools = strong communities. Thank you for helping us support students and educators across Wichita.

To every educator who opened their classroom door again this week and kept showing up for kidsā¦thank you!!
As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, weāre overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate the people who keep our schools moving forward every single day.
Through distributions, giveaways, events, and partnerships this week, Project Teacher was able to distribute more than $350,000 in supplies to nearly 1,000 educators across our city and state. That means thousands of students will walk into classrooms better equipped to learn, create, and thrive.
But more than the numbers, this week was a reminder of something we already knew: teachers continue to carry so much with incredible compassion, creativity, and resilience. Supporting educators isnāt just something we celebrate one week a yearā¦itās work worth investing in year-round.
Thank you to every volunteer, donor, partner, and supporter who helped make this week possible. And to every educator: we see you, we appreciate you, and weāre cheering you on long after this week ends.
