🍦 Sweet memories were made today! 💙
Ms. Stephanie's class had the best time visiting Foxi's Handcrafted Ice Cream in Maize! We absolutely love supporting our local businesses, and Foxi's is always such a fun place to visit.
The kids enjoyed delicious ice cream, bright colors, and a relaxing afternoon sitting outside together. There was plenty of laughter, lots of smiles, and just the right amount of sticky fingers! Sometimes the simplest outings end up becoming the sweetest memories.
A huge thank you to Foxi's Handcrafted Ice Cream for helping make our afternoon so special. If you haven't stopped by yet, you're definitely missing out on a local favorite! 🍨☀️💙

Today, we are celebrating someone who has truly become part of the heart and soul of Country Child Care—Ms. Lucinda! 💙
For 28 incredible years, Ms. Lucinda has been a constant at our center. It honestly feels like she's been here since the beginning. Over the years, she's worked in nearly every classroom, worn more hats than any of us could count, and has helped shape the lives of countless children and families who have walked through our doors.
If you know Ms. Lucinda, you know she is the definition of dependable. She is always the first to step in when someone needs help, the first to volunteer, and the person everyone can count on. She does so much of the work that keeps our center running—both the work everyone sees and the countless little things that happen behind the scenes. She gives without being asked, helps without expecting recognition, and makes every day easier for those around her.
One of the greatest reminders of just how much Ms. Lucinda does is when she's away. Whether she's home sick or taking a well-deserved vacation, everyone feels her absence. That's because she isn't just an employee—she is a cornerstone of Country Child Care. Her kindness, work ethic, loyalty, and servant's heart have become woven into the fabric of who we are.
Ms. Lucinda, thank you for 28 years of unwavering dedication, compassion, and love. Thank you for always showing up, always caring, and always giving your very best. I truly cannot imagine Country Child Care without you. You are deeply appreciated, endlessly loved, and more valuable than words could ever express.
Happy 28th Work Anniversary, Ms. Lucinda! We love you, and we are so thankful to celebrate this incredible milestone with you. 💙🎉

Today's adventure took our school-age crew to The Art Park, and we had an absolute blast!
We started by exploring the incredible outdoor play spaces and creative play structures before heading inside for an art lesson, where everyone learned how to draw a cow. Along the way, we even discovered a fun farm fact—that cows can safely eat poison ivy!
After our drawing lesson, the children worked together in small groups using buckets of LEGO® bricks to build barns and homesteads for their animals. They had so much fun using their imaginations and then photographing their finished creations.
We're so thankful for the kindness, creativity, and unique learning experiences The Art Park provides. It's always a wonderful place to explore, create, and make lasting memories together!

Toddler 1 checked all the boxes for the perfect day! We filled our friendship snack cups, watched a fun short film, danced out our wiggles, and spent the day making memories with our favorite little friends. Sometimes the simplest days turn into the biggest adventures—and it was definitely one of them!

Today our adventurers explored the Sedgwick County Zoo, and what a day it was!
Before heading out to see the animals, our classes participated in a private curator-led lesson where they learned how animals use camouflage to blend into their environments. They also had the opportunity to explore the amazing skeletal structures of several zoo animals and even touch real bones, animal pelts, and other fascinating artifacts.
After our lesson, we set off to explore the zoo and see many of the incredible animals up close. It was definitely a toasty Kansas day, but that didn't slow us down! We covered a lot of ground, made wonderful memories, and learned so much along the way.
Hands-on learning, curious minds, and a whole lot of fun—that's a day at the zoo we'll be talking about for a long time!

🏴☠️ Ahoy, Mateys! Treasure was waiting to be discovered in Ms. Jeannie's classroom! 💎
Our little pirates became real treasure hunters as they carefully excavated their very own pirate chests to reveal the hidden treasures inside. The best part? Every child's treasure was a little different, making each discovery exciting and unique!
After their big reveal, the learning continued as the kiddos graphed the colors of their treasures and practiced using descriptive words to tell us all about what they found. From shiny and sparkly to smooth and colorful, their vocabulary—and excitement—grew with every discovery!
Hands-on learning, exploring, and a little pirate adventure made for a treasure-filled day!

🌋 Eruption Day was a BLAST at Country Child Care! 🌋
Our school-age students have been hard at work over the past several days designing, building, painting, and perfecting their own papier-mâché volcanoes. Their creativity, patience, and attention to detail truly paid off!
Today was the moment everyone had been waiting for—the big eruption! One by one, the volcanoes came to life with bubbling, foaming, explosive results that had everyone cheering and smiling from ear to ear.
Hands-on projects like these are a wonderful way to encourage creativity, problem-solving, and scientific exploration while making learning unforgettable.
We're so proud of all the hard work our students put into their volcanoes. What an explosive way to wrap up an amazing project! 🌋🧪💥❤️
