Miss Rachel's Baby School

A mama with a keen eye spied this beautiful gray hairstreak butterfly right outside our front door.

Picture it.

It is after lunch clean-up. We are putting our cleaning supplies to good use.

They have self assigned their own task.

Some are clearing dishes and wiping tables. Others are sweeping the floor.

The youngest of the broom handlers just turned two.

One kiddo tells every other friend that they like their broom.

One kiddo says, what feels like their soul, "I do like a good broom."

Another shares with the group how they really like a small broom with the big dust pan.

They all agree that a clean space is best.

One friend desperately needed a Band-Aid to soothe their soul. The friend received a Band-Aid, a hug, and some kind words about their "boo-boo". I looked around to see seven pairs of eyes peeking and asking if they, too, might have a Band-Aid for any of their "boo-boos". The kids made a line, and everyone took turns receiving a bandage and a kiss on their designated boo-boo. Disclaimer: No actual boo-boos were made during this event.

We have been busy at Miss Rachel's Baby School tending to our Monarch Caterpillars from Whimsical Wings. This is the biggest one. He is quite the daredevil as he prefers to eat his meals precariously perched from a dangling leaf.
