One of the most rewarding things that I experience as a teacher is when my students take what they've learned from their piano lessons and create their own music, without my help on that specific piece.
This is my student Dana playing. She found a piece of music that she loved, and I told her it was too hard for her to play yet. But she worked on it by herself, and this is the result! I am sharing it with her permission.
I am so proud of her! She managed some huge leaps, lots of octaves, thick chords that were completely unfamiliar to her, and lots more besides.
She plans to keep working on this piece to finish it and to eliminate hesitations.

I'm working to build my piano studio back up to what it used to be before I took a break to raise a family, and so I'm running a special: three months of piano lessons for $75 per month. Lessons are usually $100 per month.

One of the best ways to increase our brain capacity, and to become better in many other ways as well, is to learn to play an instrument!

One of my oldest beginning students, Mary Ann, started lessons at the age of 60+. Mary Ann went on to fulfill her dream of being a church pianist!

We had a great time playing on Botanica's beautiful white baby grand piano! We were so grateful to be able to provide Christmas music for Illuminations, and everyone really enjoyed bringing two complimentary guests each to take the light tour with us after we played!
Aaron and Sarah also played, but unfortunately I did not get any photos I could use of these two; we loved their live performances and they looked very festive in their Christmas themed clothing!
