Danza Oceolotl

Established in 1992, in San Diego, Califas, as a group dedicated to preserving and promoting the visual and performing arts of the Mexica Nation.

Danza Oceolotl was founded in 1992 in San Diego, CA. Using the visual and performing arts the group exposes the audience to the history, culture and ritual forms of expression of the Aztec Nation from Mexico. Our regalia represents the grandeur of the Aztec’s. We incorporate the art of feather mosaics to create our head dress which use feathers of many colors raging in length from 12 up to 48 inches. The group is a collaboration of community people from San Diego and Los Angeles county.
