My heart is so full after our two-hour gathering. 💙💛

Ukrainians traveled from Grand Rapids to share their culture through recess games, crafts, and treats from our book ‘Seeds of the Sun’—and what a beautiful time of connection it was.

I am beyond grateful for the chance to learn, laugh, and stand alongside such brave, resilient people.

We see you. We are with you. 💛

I recently joined NPR alongside my friend Tetiana, calling in from Ukraine, to share how we met—and how that connection grew into the Seeds of the Sun Project.

What started small is now supporting kids navigating trauma while building connection across continents.

Today I had the honor of joining Shelley Irwin on WGVU Public Media to talk about Seeds of the Sun. Even more meaningful, my dear friend Tetiana joined us by phone from Ukraine. 💙💛

This book is about curiosity, adventure, and connection.

100% of the proceeds go directly to Tetiana’s school in Ukraine to help provide computers so students can learn the technology skills they’ll need to help rebuild their country.

The resilience and innovation coming out of Ukraine continues to inspire the world.
