🎨 Art Club is already leaving its mark! 🖌️✨

A huge shoutout to our amazing students who have been spending their time painting teacher parking spots as part of our Art Club fundraiser! We love seeing their creativity turn our parking lot into something a little more colorful and we’re so thankful for all of their hard work! 💙🎨

Want to get involved? Our first Art Club meeting is Tuesday, August 18, after school in M101!

We still have several parking spots waiting to be painted, which means there are LOTS of opportunities for Art Club members to help out, create something awesome, and be part of the fun. 🙌

We’ll also start making plans for the Homecoming Parade. 🎉 If you love creating, decorating, painting, or just want to be part of Art Club, come join us, ALL are welcome!

We can’t wait to see what Art Club creates this year! 🎨✨

New school year loading…. MISSION POSSIBLE: Launching Student Success! 🚀🎨👽

We kicked off the new school year at convocation on Friday by suiting up as the Men in Black and rounding up a few suspicious extraterrestrials along the way. 😎🛸 Apparently our alien containment skills impressed the district because we were recognized as having one of the best costumes at convocation and brought home this “Out of This World” trophy! 🏆✨

Now the real mission begins… our students are back TOMORROW! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back into the art rooms and launch another year of creativity, imagination, and incredible student artwork.

Agents ready. Aliens contained. Art supplies stocked. Let’s make this year out of this world! 🌎🚀🎨

☀️🎨 While school was out, these artists were still creating! 🎨☀️

We LOVE seeing our students take their art beyond the classroom, and Heidi Espinosa, Mya Martin, and Ellie Salazar did exactly that this summer! ❤️

These three spent their summer working with Sari Shryack, the City of Fort Worth’s current Artist in Residence, exploring color theory, experimenting with different painting techniques, tackling portraiture, and pushing themselves outside of their artistic comfort zones. 🖌️✨ They brought everything they learned together to create a final masterpiece of their own!

And last night, all that creativity and hard work got its moment to SHINE! 🌟 Their summer workshop culminated in an art show at Sundance Square, where their work was displayed for the community to see!

We couldn’t be prouder of these three for choosing to spend part of their summer learning, experimenting, creating, and becoming even stronger artists. 👏🎨

And if THIS is how our artists spent their summer… we have a feeling this school year is going to be pretty amazing. 👀🔥

🎉 We have exciting news to share! 🎉

White Settlement ISD has been named a 2025–2026 TAEA District of Distinction! 🎨✨

This prestigious recognition from the Texas Art Education Association honors school districts that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to high quality visual arts education.

Out of more than 1,200 eligible school districts across Texas, only 109 earned this distinction this year. White Settlement ISD’s visual arts program exceeded a rigorous 14-point evaluation, recognizing excellence in art education through student opportunities, exhibitions, community engagement, collaboration, and participation in the arts.

This incredible achievement is a testament to the creativity, dedication, and hard work of our outstanding art educators, talented students, supportive administrators, and community. Thank you to everyone who help make the arts an essential part of a White Settlement ISD education!

We are beyond proud to celebrate Maddilyn Wilkinson for earning 3rd Place in the Mayor Mattie Parker Art Competition! 🎉✨

Maddilyn was one of only 29 students selected from 211 submissions across the Fort Worth area to compete in this incredible exhibition.

Today, she was recognized at a special reception hosted by Fort Works Art Gallery and Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker. The competition was adjudicated by one of the curators from the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, making this achievement even more special.

Maddilyn’s artwork will be on display at Fort Works Art Gallery from May 9–23. We are so proud of her creativity, dedication, and hard work, and we can’t wait for others to experience her amazing artwork.

Art Club hit the museums yesterday! 🎨✨

Our students spent the day exploring two of Fort Worth’s incredible museums: the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. From ancient artifacts and timeless masterpieces to bold contemporary installations, students experienced a huge variety of artistic styles, ideas, and cultures all in one day.

One of the biggest highlights was seeing a special exhibit, A Poem for Deep Thinkers, by Rashid Johnson at the Modern. The students loved discussing the meaning behind the work and seeing how contemporary artists push the boundaries of what art can be.

Throughout the trip, students sketched, reflected, discussed, and responded creatively to the artwork around them. Experiences like this help bring classroom learning to life and inspire students to think more deeply about their own creative process. 🖌️🖤

What an incredible weekend at TAEA VASE State in San Marcos! 🎨✨

We had the opportunity to take two of our talented artists, Katherine Cheatheam and Julissa Meraz, to compete at the state level and they represented Brewer High School so well!

Over the course of two days, they had the opportunity to explore museums, attend workshops, and immerse themselves in amazing artwork from across Texas.

On Friday, they visited the Museum of Illusions, the Blanton Art Museum, and then wrapped up the day with some fun at the Holey Moley Golf Club.

On Saturday, the VASE event took place at San Marcos High School, where both Katherine and Julissa medaled by earning a rating of 4 on their artwork which is an extraordinary achievement! 🏅

We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and dedication. Congratulations, Katherine and Julissa! 💛

🎨🐻 Our Art Club brought the color to Bear Tracks today!

Our amazing students volunteered their time face painting and spreading smiles all around. From mythical unicorns to mighty superheroes, their creativity and skill made the event extra special.

So proud of these artists for using their talents to give back to the community 💛
