We are now officially a read aloud family.
We started this book as an audio book in the car on a road trip and yesterday we finished this book.

We are super fans of Katherine Applegate books.

The one and only Ivan is the first book in a 4 book series and it is a modern classic with a Newberry medal.

This is a book inspired by a true story of a gorilla who spent almost 30 years in a cage without any contact with other gorillas.He is an artist whose art work sells for a price.
Now Ivan is in Zoo Atlanta.

We are now reading the next book in the series "The one and only Bob"

I would recommend this book for all families with elementary children.

Suggestion : You can read "The one and only Ivan" along with a non-fiction on Jane Goodall.

Jane Goodall was an animal activist and advocate.She recently passed away.
Her biography and story is in the school curriculum.

I just can't believe Caitie's Classroom time capsule episode was 5yrs ago..
So many changes and so much growth in all our lives.

Time is a tricky little thing. 🥰🥲 Did anyone else remember the time capsule?! We put it together during our 50th livestream of Caitie’s Classroom. I often think of those kiddos that I would say hello to week after week during our live episodes… I still get messages from a few of the families which is the sweetest. Is it too early for holiday gift ideas? 🥴. I couldn’t help myself 🥹. These could be a gift or even ornaments if you make a hole with a hole puncher before baking them! Mini handwritten DIY keepsakes!! 😍 Save your takeout containers and use the smooth part to create shrink art!! The plastic compresses down while keeping the shape and it becomes hard plastic. *Must be plastic number 6 for it to work!* There should be a little 6 right on the container. I recommend this activity be done in a well ventilated area like near a window/ outdoors or wearing a mask. Have your little ones write a note with permanent marker and/or use acrylic paint to make handprints/footprints. Place it on an oven safe tray over parchment paper and bake at 300°F until it shrinks. Should be less than 3 minutes. Really impressive results 🙌🏻. How many of you agree that when you are bored you were extremely creative and innovative in your work/childhood/home during pandemic..the last category was me...during pandemic LOL

Today I was extremely ill and had a terrible 🤢 day.
On top of that I got locked out in my own backyard and I started kicking the bench I sat on not knowing what to do with the time I had and then I got a game idea..

When my 7 year old came I told him about
"SHOES"

Nothing big...

Just throw the shoes from your feet and see how far the shoes reach and we have points..My 7yr old was bored almost the whole week as both his dad and mom were ill.
Today he told us he had so much fun with the new game...
And we should play SHOES everyday...
You can call it..
One crazy story or a boring story or an interesting story
But I am so motivated to play these childlike games because my child likes it...
