Learning Lives Here - Peak High School

Peak High School students are kicking off the school year by reading the classic novel The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. To build background knowledge and help students better understand the novel’s setting, students are reviewing major events and cultural changes of the 1960s. Thanks to a grant, students will also have the opportunity to experience The Outsiders live at the Buell Theatre in Denver this September. Throughout the unit, students will participate in activities that connect the themes, characters, and conflicts of the novel to their own lives and the world around them.

District Speech-Language Team in Action!

Our District Speech-Language Team is busy completing hearing screenings for students across the district as part of Wyoming’s required school health services. These screenings help identify potential hearing concerns early and support students’ access to learning and communication. 💙

We’re proud to help keep our students healthy, supported, and ready to learn!

Learning Lives Here - Libbey Elementary

🎉 Learning Lives Here: Building a Place to Learn, Play & Grow! 🛝
What a wonderful day at Libbey Elementary as we celebrated the ribbon cutting for our playground project! This new space is more than a playground—it’s a place where friendships will grow, imaginations will come alive, and students will learn through play, teamwork, and exploration. 💙

A project like this truly takes a community, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. A heartfelt thank you to the Libbey Parent Teacher Organization, Platte #1 School Board, our Maintenance, Technology, and Transportation

Departments, and all of our generous donors whose support, time, and hard work helped bring this vision to life.

This playground is a wonderful example of what can happen when a community comes together for kids. We look forward to the laughter, learning, leadership, and memories that will fill this space for years to come!
