BIG congratulations to Elmore County HIPPY! 🎉

During the Elmore County Board of Education meeting on Sept. 15, 2026, the Elmore County HIPPY program was recognized for completing its endorsement process and earning the distinction of a Nationally Recognized Program!

That work has now earned national recognition, with Elmore County HIPPY meeting all 19 HIPPY standards and receiving an impressive 11 “exceeds the standard” ratings.

HIPPY stands for Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters. For Elmore County families with children ages 2 through 4, HIPPY is a FREE program designed to help parents become their child’s first and most important teacher.

This accomplishment reflects the dedication of the HIPPY staff, the families they serve and the community partners who work together to support local children and help prepare them for success in school and beyond.

Congratulations to Terri Carrico, HIPPY supervisor; Sherry Spigener, retired HIPPY coordinator; Christy Dean, new HIPPY coordinator and former home visitor; Amber Hoggard, Reyna Contreras and Allison Judah, HIPPY home visitors; and Amanda VanHouten, former HIPPY home visitor.

Join us tomorrow for a special Grandparents' Day Preschool Storytime .
We will be reading sweet books about the special time a child spends with thier grandparents.
Stick around after the stories to make a special craft for your grandparents. All preschoolers and their grownups are welcome!

Pack the car and drive on down to the library for a morning of exploring the great outdoors- through books.
Preschoolers will "camp out",right here in our Children's Room, for a morning of stories,movement and crafting.
We look forward to exploring the wild world of reading with you!

🐾Calling all little bookworms and puppy lovers! 🐾
Join us for a paws-itively fun Preschool Storytime tomorrow, Friday, August 28th at 10:00 AM!
This week, we are celebrating man's best friend: DOGS! 🐶❤️ Bring your preschoolers by for a morning packed with stories,songs and a craft.
🐾 Special addition: Feel free to bring along your favorite stuffed dog or a picture of your family pup to share with the group!
