✨ It's all official!! ✨

The new board trustees were sworn in last night and participated in our first board meeting up on the dais. It is clear that there is still much work to be done to close the divide, but I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get started 💪🏻

As I said last night, they say it takes a village to raise a child. It definitely takes something much bigger to make it through a campaign 😅 THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported me. I truly could not have done it without each and every one of you ❤️🖤

Going forward, this page will remain active but quiet as I focus on my duties as a board trustee. Also, my statements are mine alone and are not representative of the board or its individual members but may reflect some community sentiment.

I met with a voter this morning who was on the fence about who to vote for, and we had a really lovely conversation that was thoughtful, transparent, and measured. She told me where her concerns were, and I listened. She also asked me some difficult questions and I answered them as only I could: with honesty and integrity. I admitted when I've made mistakes and demonstrated how I'm accountable to learning and growing.

I showed up to this discussion authentically; I know no other way to be. If elected, I hope to have even more conversations like this one where there's listening on both ends and also an ability to present ideas from different perspectives.

That said, we've got 2 more days until Election Day!! If you are also on the fence or have questions, please reach out. I will make time to speak with you so you can confidently cast your vote for me 🗳️🇺🇲
