This vacation started with crazy flight delays, sprinting through the Chicago airport, 3 different flights, and a missing suitcase😅.
But we are here and it’s so good for the soul.
I watched the sunset tonight with tears in my eyes…I know my dad is looking down on us and smiling big time.
Here’s to you, dad 🥂🌸☀️🌊🌴.
6 core exercises beyond just holding a plank (boring! 🥱)
If you are tired of staring at the floor waiting for a minute timer to beep, try these instead.
Your core is meant to be dynamic. It’s designed to manage pressure, control rotation, and integrate with your hips while you move—not just brace until you shake.
1️⃣ Dead Bug Cross-Connect (rotational stability)
2️⃣ Knee Plank Walk-Outs (eccentric ab challenge + hamstring/pelvis integration)
3️⃣ Split Stance High-to-Low Chop (dynamic trunk rotation)
4️⃣ Copenhagen Plank (lateral stability + inner thigh integration)
5️⃣ Incline Plank Saw (shoulder mobility + rib cage control)
6️⃣ Side Plank Hip Dip (eccentric stretch & concentric strength of the lateral hip/core. )
📌 Save this post so you can swap these into your next workout, and share it with a friend who is stuck doing standard planks!

Grief doesn’t have a timeline.
I’ve realized it’s always going to be there. Life keeps going but somehow inside you’re in stillness.
People move on, life gets busy, but you…you don’t forget.
Little reminders pop up, a memory, a picture. And you’re back to square 1.
One thing that I am embracing while grieving is that the best way to honor my dad is to take care of me and FEEL joy.
So I put in foot in front of the other and I show up.
I’m living life to the fullest because that’s what he would want❤️🩹.
Strength doesn’t require perfection.
We’ve been told to be perfect for too long. In our 30s and 40s, it’s time to trade “perfect” for “capable.”
My time as a competitive swimmer taught me that performance is rarely pretty. It’s gritty, it’s uncomfortable, and it requires a lot of grace. That is exactly how we build a body that lasts.
Lifting heavy for you, joining a sport, or taking care of your bones isn’t about looking a certain way on a Reel. It’s about:
👉Trusting your body to handle the load.
👉Being okay with being a beginner again.
👉Knowing that “giving yourself grace” and being “Strong AF” can happen in the same workout.
Stop waiting for the perfect time to start.
Be messy. Be brave. Just move👊.
