I hope this message finds all of you well! It is an exciting time for our Central Ohio Cru Team as we prepare to start the year on campus this Monday! I would love to invite you all to pray for Lily and me as we kick off the year on campus. The link below is a Google Sheet with half hour time slots where you can sign-up to pray for us and our first week back on campus. In the top left-hand corner of the sheet is also a list of prayer requests that our team has for this coming week and the upcoming year. Here's my September Update! Check it out!

First main meeting of the year is about to start at Heidelberg University! Pray that our students would experience Jesus Christ tonight, especially the Freshmen coming for the first time.

Here's yesterday's highlights from the conference:
My favorite speaker yesterday was Rich Perez!
Also, I got to go to a breakout session where Impact Ministry's President Jimmy McGee talked about how to reach ethnic minority students with the gospel!
Finally, we got to watch a movie called "I Can Only Imagine" based on the popular Christian song by MercyMe. The movie was amazingly moving and resonated with me a lot as someone who has lost their father to cancer. The movie comes out in Spring 2018, so you all should go check it out!

Here's some awesome highlights from Cru17's opening sessions today!

Hey friends,
So last week was crazy! I finished up the rest of my classes yesterday, and they were so refreshing. However, they required a lot of work, and time! Tomorrow begins our Cru17 nationwide conference, which is very exciting! I will be updating you all throughout the conference on what God is teaching me!

Here's a few nuggets from my Theology Class today taught by Dr. Greg Allison from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary:
"The Bible is the boom of the Triune God."
"Prayer is a family activity where we (as sons and daughters) join in the eternal conversation occurring between the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit."
"As a Christian, you know the Triune God!"

Learning about God's character today in my Theology class. Specifically, we were taught about the Trinitarian nature of God. Ultimately, God has used this class to deepen my love for him in profound ways!

Working on writing a small group about Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4:35-41 for students this Fall! Excited to teach students what it means to embrace Jesus as their rescuer and redeemer in difficult circumstances.
