Take a book, leave a book. These tiny libraries offer a free reading experience to anyone who happens by. No library card required. No fines. No need to return what you borrow.

The nonprofit Little Free Library launched their journey to make books accessible to everyone on May 17, 2012. This year, May 17 has been declared National Day.

Today there is a network of more than 200,000 book-sharing boxes!

We’re excited to announce an author event with Ocean Vuong!

On Saturday, July 18th at 6pm, join us at Westerville North High School for an evening with Ocean Vuong in conversation with poet Maggie Smith! The event is co-hosted by Westerville Public Library.

You’ll know Ocean Vuong from his two bestselling novels, The Emperor of Gladness and On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, and his two critically acclaimed poetry collections, Time Is A Mother and Night Sky With Exit Wounds. He’s also a MacArthur Fellow and an American Book Award winner.

It’s safe to say that Ocean Vuong is a universal staff favorite so we are beyond excited to welcome him to Columbus. We hope to see you there for what is sure to be a wonderful evening with Ocean and Maggie!
