Sheriff Nick Cocchi spent time with students in the Criminal Justice Program at the Lower Pioneer Valley Career and Technical Education Center last Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
During his visit, Sheriff Cocchi spoke about the rewarding career path of becoming a correctional officer, emphasizing the important role officers play in public safety and rehabilitation. He also encouraged students to stay focused in school, reminding them that the work they put in today will shape the opportunities they have tomorrow.
Most importantly, Sheriff Cocchi left students with a powerful message: your future is yours to create. Write your own story, set your goals, and don’t let anything stand in the way of becoming who you want to be.
Sheriff Coochi thanks the students and staff for the warm welcome – Sheriff Cocchi and the Hampden County Sheriff's Department look forward to continuing to connect with and support the next generation!
