Two students this week worked separately on shaving cream prints. Same tools very different results, both beautiful, mysterious and hypnotic. ❤️❤️❤️

My six year old student wanted to paint Egypt. No reference photos, just paint and a canvas. She told me it was Egypt just before the Nile flooded.
And a bird in a tree. I think she did so well!🙂

Square designs! Two classes, three separate students. One younger sibling about to be 5 still got the idea. All so, so great and unique and personal!

I totally spaced on posting this last week from my student’s foray into faux tie dye Tshirts with sharpies. I loved the original design as well as how cool it came out after the process. Really nice!

Shaving cream prints (sort of)! Squishy and fun!

Soap making class today. I love doing this class! My student made hearts, fish, stars and bars with different tinted soaps. One bar had another little soap inside! Lavender and Ylang Ylang were the scents of the day! So pretty!❤️

Today we made a mezuzah. Very cool! My student made an inlay with foam clay and beads! Very clever! 💕

Dioramas! So much fun to make. I love this student’s attention to color schemes and mood. Lovely little details. 👌

Tape painting; an easy but fun class. I’m always surprised by the results of this class, both by each individual’s process as well as by the finished product.

My student just turned six! And she has been amazing me since she was about 5 and a half! Always understands the assignment, but also has an amazing imagination and an analytical mind. What a combo for art! Happy Birthday Lila!!
Today’s work was facial and body proportions! Excellent! After, free draw of a monster eating and digesting a cupcake flower! I love the monster’s adorable face!🧁
