Microschools are changing education because they’re giving power back to the people who actually understand children… educators.
For too long, decisions about learning have been made by systems focused on standardization instead of human development. Parents and teachers are beginning to ask deeper questions:
What if children learned in smaller communities?
What if school focused on identity, creativity, emotional safety, and real-world skills?
What if teachers had the freedom to truly personalize education?
This movement is growing for a reason. 🌱

The Canopy School
The Canopy Method is a revolutionary education model rooted in neuroscience, emotional healing, and nature-based learning.
We reimagine school from the inside out—prioritizing trauma-informed teaching, brain development, and identity formation.
Modern summer vacation was shaped by wealthy urban families who wanted time to travel, rest, and enrich their children through camps and experiences — while many low-income children lost access to meals, structure, safety, and learning opportunities.
One thing that has always stayed with me as an educator is watching children count down the days until school opens again. Not because they love worksheets… but because school often provides food, connection, routine, enrichment, and support.
Which is why at The Canopy School, we don’t follow a traditional summer break. We believe children thrive with rhythm, community, and year-round learning rooted in neuroscience, nature, and emotional well-being.
Follow along as we rethink education from the inside out 🌈

Hi friends! I have 2 spots open in our nature-based learning pod (ages 3–7).
We’re a Step Up For Students approved private school led by a master-level educator.
Children spend half the day outdoors, learn two languages through immersion, and each student receives individual instrument instruction.
The program grows with the child focused on confidence, curiosity, and discovering what they love. Arts, science, math and reading taught through neuroscience.
