*Introducing Ndey Awa Mbaye, Team Hope's unopposed candidate for the position of Gender and Health minister
The position of gender and health minister needs a personality that can ensure that health of students is cared for and gender mainstreamed in everything we do. Who fits this post better than Miss Mbaye.
The Hip Hop Artist/Activist is commonly known by her stage name *Awa Bling.* She use her music to talk about social issues especially issues affecting children, women and young girls. The 2nd year 1st Semester gender and development student have worked with some organisations in The Gambia and abroad. She won the Wahsa Halaat Artivism award in 2018 and the Music Personality of the Year by the She Awards in 2023.
The deputy Gender and health Ministery of the 7th executive council whose Advocacy through Music on SGBV, holding the Government accountable and Justice, is endorsed by the Election committee to stair the affairs of The gender and health Ministery. We are hopeful for progress under her watch.
