A message from the Principal at South Olive Elementary Melinda Springman:
I want to take a moment to thank you for what you all have done for us every year, but especially this year.
We honestly were not sure how we were going to take care of everyone this year. There is a greater need than ever before, and we did not know if we would be able to gather enough food. With your help, we were able to serve not just the 36 families that you brought turkeys for but it helped us to get more turkeys and serve 42 families.
I personally delivered to two of the families who had no vehicles to pick it up. To see how these families are living and the gratitude on their faces was something I will never forget.
This year may be difficult, but when we come together as a community, we really can make amazing things happen.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you for being part of our Ohana.

We have partnered with the Youth Sailing Foundation of the Palm Beaches to make sure those in need this year have a fantastic Thanksgiving! We are thankful to our many community leaders, corporate, community groups, and individual sponsors! We start delivery next week. We still need help. If you would like to make a financial contribution it will help supplement the schools food drive. And, we are picking up 240 bags of sugar and rice Monday to deliver to each school.

32 Turkeys were delivered yesterday to Palm Beach Public Elementary. The principal, Christie L. Schwab, sent us this photo to share! All made possible by generous donations from contributors like Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, PA Very Important Paws and a long list of individual donors that every year pass on to others the spirit of thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is almost here! And you know that means we've been hard at work getting our turkeys lined up! Here are the schools: Palm Beach Public Elementary, Belvedere Elementary, North Grade Elementary, South Olive Elementary, and Palmetto Elementary. Each school will receive 30 turkeys for their needy families to make sure they have a great thanksgiving. Robert Norvell, has worked with businesses, individuals, community groups, and local leaders to raise funds to make sure our most needy families have a thanksgiving meal. Now is the time to adopt a school or make any donation to make this happen! Cheney Brothers, Inc. Headquarters is where we will be purchasing the turkeys from this year. The cost to cover one school is approximately $500.00. So we need to raise $2,500.00!

This is the first year we’ve had the pleasure of working with North grade Elementary. They prepared all the aluminum trays for their families stacked down the hall! That’s the colored image. The bottom picture is Michele Mohl at Palmetto elementary taking delivery. They have a year-round food pantry at their school because the need is so great. They really appreciate this special delivery!
