We had a great time at the Mosaic Mennonite Conference Oasis Conference this past weekend in Tampa. Emma, CTC's Associate Director, led an Introduction to Trauma-Informed Ministry seminar, exploring how trauma impacts theology and spirituality and sharing practical tools for self-regulation. Grateful for the conversations and connections!

Last week, we had the privilege of attending the Building Hope Faith In Action PBC community event. It was a great opportunity for local representatives from Palm Beach County and faith-based organizations to come together and discuss ways to help break the cycle of homelessness through support services and affordable housing initiatives.

📅 Yesterday, CTC team members attended Palm Beach County's Reentry Faith Leadership Workshop as part of Second Chance Month. Faith leaders, social justice advocates and community members came together to learn about reentry challenges and strategies to support individuals transitioning from incarceration. 🤝

Kevin Jones reflected on how we, as a community, can make a difference by giving people the second chances they deserve. William Freeman spoke about his reentry journey and the power of support from pastors, mentors and his community.

Zina Zdorow, our new Recruitment and Partnerships Coordinator 🎉, also engaged with those interested in our chaplaincy programs and certificates (Trauma & Spirituality, Transformational Leadership, and Trauma-Informed Leadership).

🎉🌎 Last month, the Ecology, Faith and Justice Conference brought together nearly 100 attendees to explore the theological foundations of creation care and our shared responsibility to protect the Earth and love our neighbors. A big thank you to our keynote speakers Rev. Dr. Jessica Moerman, Dr. Thomas Chesnes and Dr. Norman Wirzba for their insights.

Participants took part in engaging discussions, immersed themselves in nature through activities such as a Lake Worth Lagoon boat tour and a visit to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, and connected with several local sustainability organizations at our evening ecology fair. We also enjoyed a beautiful performance by the PBA Dance Ensemble and a special campus visit from Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
