Market Games
We are gamifying the learning experience to help business educators increase their students' success.
Market Games is a new generation of business simulation that is focused on increasing higher education student engagement and learning outcomes. It is scalable to accommodate a wide range of class sizes in addition to making it easier to manage the learning and teams in addition to having simple and intuitive tools for the professor.
Market Games is proud to be supporting Cork University's Bachelor of Commerce program. Dr. Rosemary Murphy, who's the program director and a strong advocate of active learning, is using our simulation to help her first-year students develop critical thinking skills.

The Market Games website after a transformation. Go check it out and let us know what you think.
Throughout 2021, we made incremental changes to the website copies, the brand journey and the website’s visual aesthetics to better illuminate the story of Market Games. We incorporated way more context about the problems we are tackling, our product’s unique values, and the superstars and team culture behind the magic.
The website is able to be in a much better place than 1.5 year ago because we have made big leaps forward as a company... in our thought leadership, in our company culture, and in our understanding of students' and educators’ needs.
However, it is never “complete”. It will continuously improve as our company grows.
We are proud of our progress and stoked for our future! 💫
On the FYIC Podcast with Professor Justin McGlothin from Farmer School of Business, Torsor and Casey share details about the creation of the Intro to Business Game and Market Games' journey up until now. The three went on a journey to discuss the different ways in which playing the Intro to Business game benefit students and faculty.

In contrast to the positivity that is supposed to come with holiday season, employees at Better experienced an insensitive leadership that instilled frustration, anger and confusion into everyone.
900 employees were shocked to hear a sudden and heartless announcement from their CEO that they were ""terminated effective immediately"" during a meeting on December 1st. Many executives resigned once the news got out, employees and customers revolted, and everyone was driven to look at the toxic culture that exists within the company. Read the article for details.
One of our main focuses is nurturing leadership skills in business education, so we wanted to share this example of bad leadership and highlight the negative impacts it could have on a company's brand, productivity, and the trust of important stakeholders. We can do better than this.
‘Unhinged’ Better.com Boss Forced to Take Time Off as Employees Revolt “Employees are calling for a head,” a company source, who argued that Vishal Garg stepping down is a cosmetic fix, told The Daily Beast.
Here's what the Director of SMB Marketing at Google, Laura Lubetsky Kotee, have to say about the skills that college students should learn early on to prepare for their careers.
"Make mistakes. You actually learn more when you make mistakes than when everything goes smoothly." That is such a powerful statement.
